Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSE) are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex innovation projects from early development through to operational adoption and benefits realisation. You will drive governance, budgets and delivery across cross‑functional teams to turn innovation funding into lasting value for customers and the business.

Base locations include Glasgow, Perth, Portsmouth or Reading, with about 50% of your time in one site.

Qualifications

• Strong track record delivering complex projects end-to-end within regulated environments.
• Qualified in APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
• Experience with budgets, contracts, risks and dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder leadership across technical and external partners.
• Pragmatic and adaptable with focus on compliant, scalable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex innovation projects from concept through closure with clear plans and governance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners to maintain alignment.
• Manage forecasts, controls, risk, regulatory evidence and reporting.
• Drive adoption and measurable benefits with deployment pathways.
• Develop opportunities and funding proposals to improve delivery standards.
