Job summary

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is seeking an ICT Support professional to provide 1st & 2nd line assistance across ICT equipment, systems, and AV support. The role emphasises incident analysis, prioritisation, and end-to-end ticket resolution within a hybrid working pattern.

You'll operate the service desk, coordinate with colleagues and third-party providers, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience providing 1st/2nd line ICT support in a corporate environment.
• Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to own tasks end-to-end including prioritisation and resolution of tickets.
• Excellent teamwork and willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ICT service desk processes from ticket intake to resolution.
• Analyse incidents and requests, prioritise responses, and resolve or escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with ICT colleagues and other departments; coordinate third-party providers where required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates to users.
