Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced IT Service Desk professional to join the Digital and Information Service Desk. You will provide first line support to about 10,000 computer users across NHS Fife, including GP practices, handling calls via telephone or online portal.

You will escalate to second/third line when needed and work in a hybrid model based in Dunfermline with freedom to work from home or other sites with bookable desks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a First Line support role is advantageous; knowledge of Microsoft products is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line IT support to ~10,000 computer users across NHS Fife, including GPs.
• Troubleshoot PC/Endpoint issues and relay details to users with varying levels of technical understanding.
• Prioritise and manage own workload; fix first time or escalate to second/third line as needed.
• Handle calls via telephone or online portal and pass on information accurately.
