Job summary

B&Q plc is seeking a HR Systems and Data Manager to lead the People systems, data, MI, automation and AI agenda. You will shape requirements, govern data, and partner with People, B&Q Technology, and BI teams to deliver reliable information and practical insight for decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate specialist teams.
• Strong partnership and influencing skills across People, Technology, Data, Insight, Governance and supplier teams.
• Able to understand complex issues, clarify ownership, routes to decision and practical next steps.
• Able to translate operational needs into clear requirements, priorities and evidence-based recommendations.
• Clear communicator, able to explain systems, data, MI and control issues in plain English.
• Highly numerate and analytical, with data accuracy focus and ability to translate complex information into clear insight.
• Curious about emerging technology, automation and AI, with governance and controls understanding.
• Balance People Operations requirements with wider People function and business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coach the People Systems & Data team.
• Develop and maintain the People Systems & Data plan and demand view.
• Collaborate across People, Technology and BI to align priorities.
• Translate business needs into system, data and MI requirements.
• Own system and data acceptance for People solutions with clear readiness.
• Ensure live operation with clear ownership and controls.
• Lead data governance and stewardship with data ownership and quality.
