Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited in the Midlands is seeking a Highways Engineer to join the Transportation team. You will contribute to the technical delivery of highway infrastructure projects across the UK, collaborating with design teams and clients to produce robust designs.

You will mentor colleagues, manage design development from initiation to completion, and help win new work through effective presentation at networking events and tender briefs. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Deliver technically robust highway infrastructure designs using design and drainage software.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
• Mentor and develop junior team members' technical capabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the team responsible for the technical delivery of highway infrastructure projects.
• Deliver highway designs using highways design, drainage and other software packages.
• Mentor and coach team members and take responsibility for their technical development.
• Support Project Managers on technical aspects from initiation through to completion.
• Assist in work winning activities including representing the business at networking events and tenders.
