Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy and business advisory firm. Based on a flexible hybrid working model, the role involves managing year-end statutory accounts, financial reporting, and liaising with audit teams.

Suitable candidates will be ACA/ACCA qualified, able to review junior staff, mentor colleagues, and apply FRS102/IFRS knowledge to deliver tailored solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent with practical experience in statutory accounts preparation and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of FRS102 and IFRS, with ability to apply accounting standards to client needs.
• Confident communicator able to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Proactive and organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work across teams.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, leading the delivery of year-end statutory accounts and financial reporting.
• Liaising confidently with audit teams both internal and external to ensure compliance and high-quality outputs.
• Reviewing junior team members' work, providing constructive feedback and supporting their development.
• Assessing project resource needs, monitoring budget and timeline adherence, and resolving challenges proactively.
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for additional client advisory services.
• Applying strong technical knowledge of FRS102, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements to deliver tailored solutions.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and auditors, building lasting relationships based on trust and insight.
• Supporting team culture by promoting firm values, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
