Job summary

Grant Thornton in London or Reading is seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager for a hybrid role. You will handle technical accounting tasks, IFRS/UK GAAP conversions, and support for mergers and acquisitions within cross‑functional teams.

Applicants should have a professional qualification (ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA/CIPFA) with post‑qualification experience, strong client‑relationship skills, and proven leadership of teams and projects. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post‑qualification experience.
Experience managing a large portfolio of audit clients.
Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP; US GAAP familiarity is a plus.
Experience leading teams and developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

Deliver projects applying technical accounting, including IFRS/UK GAAP conversions and M&A support.
Manage projects independently or with another team member to meet deadlines.
Control project timescales, budgets, and risk management procedures.
Lead smaller assignments from planning to review.
Identify opportunities and prepare scope and quotes for small pieces of work.
