Job summary

Nestlé UK & Ireland’s Nespresso operation is seeking an Operations Controller- Finance in Gatwick with hybrid working 2-3 days in the office. Reporting to Head of FP&A, the role partners with Operations to manage costs and drive strategic financial objectives.

You will lead the monthly accounting cycle for Operations, oversee period-end, analyse variances, and support Lean and improvement programmes to boost cash flow and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting or finance qualification such as CIMA.
• Strong financial planning, forecasting and performance management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships across both finance and operational teams.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly accounting cycle for Operations and ensure robust planning and cost control.
• Coordinate period-end activities, reporting of actuals and forecasts.
• Analyse performance variances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to optimise business operations, improve cost efficiency and strengthen cash flow.
• Provide financial support to operational improvement initiatives including Lean/Focused Improvement programmes.
• Partner with stakeholders on customer service and cross-functional projects with insightful financial analysis.
• Develop, evaluate and monitor capital investment plans and post-investment reviews.
• Evaluate the financial impact of sourcing and operational changes and provide recommendations.
