Job summary

Nestlé is seeking an Operations Controller for the UK&I team to act as a finance partner to the Operations function, leading the monthly accounting cycle, forecasting, and cost management while supporting strategic objectives. The role collaborates across Supply Chain, Quality Management and Customer Relationship Centre to deliver financial leadership and insight for performance improvement.

We're looking for an Operations Controlle r to join our UK&I team. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will act as a key finance business partner to our Operations function, ensuring that costs are effectively managed while supporting the delivery of strategic business objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence decision-making, drive efficiencies and contribute to the continued success of one of Nestlé's fastest-growing businesses., As Operations Controller, you will work closely with teams across Supply Chain, Total Quality Management and our Customer Relationship Centre, providing financial leadership and insight that supports operational performance and continuous improvement.,

• Lead and manage the monthly accounting cycle for Operations, ensuring robust planning and accurate cost management.
• Coordinate period-end activities, reporting of actuals and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Analyse performance variances, identify root causes and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to optimise business operations, improve cost efficiency and strengthen cash flow performance.
• Provide financial support to operational improvement initiatives, including Lean and Focused Improvement programmes.
• Partner with stakeholders on customer service and cross-functional projects, delivering insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
• Develop, evaluate and monitor capital investment plans, including post-investment performance reviews.
• Evaluate the financial impact of sourcing and operational changes, providing recommendations that support business performance.
• Act as a trusted finance partner, influencing decision-making across both financial and non-financial stakeholder groups.
  You'll combine strong financial expertise with outstanding stakeholder management skills and a continuous improvement mindset. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across functions and using financial insight to drive operational performance.

Essential experience and skills

• Professional accounting or finance qualification such as CIMA, with previous experience in Accounting, Finance, Costing or Factory Controlling.
• Strong financial planning, forecasting and performance management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships across both finance and operational teams.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience working effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Confidence to challenge constructively and drive positive business change.
• Experience working within a matrix or networked organisation with cross-functional stakeholders.

Desirable experience

• Experience supporting Supply Chain, Customer Service or Operations functions.
• Exposure to Lean methodologies, continuous improvement projects or operational transformation initiatives.
• Experience within FMCG or a similarly fast-moving commercial environment.
• Experience evaluating capital investments and business cases.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience plus bonus potential
