Job summary

Nestlé Halifax Factory is seeking an Assistant Factory Financial Controller to provide comprehensive financial support to the factory and the Factory Financial Controller. You will drive cost improvements, forecast, and report on factory processes, contributing to robust internal controls and efficient plant performance.

The role requires a part or fully qualified accountant with manufacturing finance experience, strong costing skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Part or fully qualified accountant with breadth of finance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong costing and financial analysis capabilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to influence across levels and create cross-functional relationships.
• Flexible and proactive, able to adapt in a dynamic factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial support to the factory and the Factory Financial Controller.
• Challenge assumptions and drive cost improvements through cost saving projects.
• Forecast and report on factory processes, including monthly actuals and dynamic forecasting.
• Support month-end processes with journals and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting and planning with standard cost development and revisions.
