Job summary

NFU Mutual is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead a sub-portfolio of strategic change initiatives. You will oversee planning, delivery, and governance while partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

You will supervise Project Management professionals, align delivery with business priorities, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across Group Change. This is a hybrid role based in Stratford-upon-Avon with potential for flexible working.

Qualifications

• Experience leading portfolio or programme management across complex change initiatives.
• Strong ability to plan, monitor and control delivery.
• Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight across a sub-portfolio to ensure on-time, on-cost, on-quality delivery.
• Lead impact assessments and recommendations to maintain portfolio attractiveness and achievability.
• Manage sub-portfolio finances and resources; reallocate budgets to optimise delivery.
• Foster a collaborative, one-team approach with stakeholders and risk management.
• Ensure robust governance and reporting aligned with Change Framework and Risk Policy.
• Champion knowledge sharing and continuous improvement through Communities of Practice.
• Coach project teams and drive talent development within Group Change.
• Inspire and lead the team with focus on succession planning.
