Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Digital Merchandiser on a 6-month fixed-term contract to shape and improve the online customer experience across services such as Tyres, MOTs, Servicing and Repairs. You’ll manage day-to-day merchandising, ensure accurate content, and work with Commercial, Marketing, SEO and Customer Services to optimise performance.

The role suits someone with eCommerce or digital merchandising experience, aiming to progress in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Some experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, online trading or website content management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good analytical skills with confidence using data to identify opportunities and trends.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience in retail, eCommerce or customer-focused environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management and merchandising of Services content across Halfords' digital platforms.
• Ensure product and service information is accurate, up to date and aligned with customer needs.
• Assist with the launch of new products and services online, including content updates, categorisation and imagery.
• Monitor website performance and customer behaviour, helping to identify opportunities to improve conversion and customer experience.
• Work collaboratively with Commercial, Marketing, SEO and Customer Contact teams to support trading activity and promotional campaigns.
• Contribute to website testing, optimisation initiatives and digital improvement projects.
• Help maintain high standards across digital content and customer journeys.
