NHS Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a Demand Planner to balance customer needs with operational efficiency, combining historical data with insights from stakeholders to produce reliable forecasts for effective supply planning.

The role offers hybrid working with two on-site days at the Nottingham/Alfreton offices, with focus on developing forecasts, reporting insights, and driving continuous improvement across forecasting processes and tools such as Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities and experience in planning.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in forecasting, reporting, and data visualisation tools, including Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and insights to support effective supply planning and customer fulfilment.
• Analyse forecast performance, identify variances and demand trends, and implement corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
• Collect, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources, ensuring integrity of forecasting systems and reports.
• Collaborate with Category Managers, Supply Planning teams, customer-facing functions, and other stakeholders to gather insights and build consensus forecasts.
• Produce actionable reports and present demand insights to stakeholders while driving continuous improvement through automation and reporting efficiencies.
