Job summary

Vax in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to join our team in a hybrid role based in Droitwich. You will shape demand forecasts, analyse performance and collaborate with Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance to align plans with business objectives.

You’ll use Excel and ERP planning tools to produce insightful reports, challenge assumptions and drive improvements in forecasting processes and data quality.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, or an analytical Sales role working closely with Supply Chain teams.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of the impact of demand, sales, and stock availability.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving improvements.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, and to suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and review demand forecasts, using historical sales data, current trends and relevant commercial insights.
• Analyse sales performance, demand patterns and forecast variances to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with Commercial teams to understand promotional activity, new product launches, customer requirements and changes in market demand.
• Engage with Supply Chain and Finance to support alignment between demand forecasts, stock availability and business objectives.
• Challenge forecast assumptions constructively, using data and commercial insight to influence stakeholder decisions.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes of discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
• Use Excel and relevant ERP or planning systems to maintain accurate data, produce reports and support forecasting activities.
• Highlight potential supply and demand risks, escalating issues where appropriate and supporting the development of solutions.
• Contribute to regular planning reviews and cross-functional meetings, clearly communicating findings, risks and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, reporting and the quality of planning data.
