Job summary

Biffa Ltd is seeking a Data Migration Manager for a hybrid role with two days in the office per week. The role leads data migration activities amid SaaS implementations and legacy system consolidation. Close collaboration with Data Architect and Product teams ensures reusable migration patterns and high data quality prior to ERP loading (D365).

The candidate will work with Finance to validate migrated data and manage a team of analysts to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience leading large-scale data migrations in medium or large organisations.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and documentation standards.
Advanced T-SQL programming and performance tuning.
Proficient in using SSIS or Azure Data Factory for data migration.
Ability to translate technical findings into financial impact language for finance audiences.

Responsibilities

Define Data Migration strategy and technologies for migration delivery.
Create and maintain Data Migration plan with timelines and resources.
Oversee extraction, transformation, and loading processes and data quality checks.
Lead data analysis, profiling and data quality reporting.
Collaborate with Finance to validate migrated data against source records and reconcile discrepancies.
Document data issues, mappings, and business rules with stakeholders.
Liaise with teams on data due diligence for acquisitions and data transformation.
Manage a team of data migration analysts and provide development plans.
