Red Snapper Recruitment seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to join the ICT & Digital Transformation team of a leading housing organisation. You will provide hands-on security engineering across monitoring, threat detection and incident response while embedding security best practice.

The role operates within the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team, with hybrid working and regular office attendance, and a base salary of £56,939 per annum. Regular travel to North East offices is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on cyber security or security engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, Defender, vulnerability tools.
• Experience in security incident detection, response and recovery.
• Cloud experience, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to communicate security risks and impacts to diverse stakeholders.
• Calm under pressure and able to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership across security monitoring, threat detection and incident response.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching and endpoint security improvements.
• Support detection, investigation, response and recovery of security incidents.
• Influence secure network, cloud and endpoint design across projects.
• Work with ICT and external partners to implement security controls.
• Support cyber security governance, reporting, audits and compliance.
