Job summary

Red Snapper Recruitment is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join the ICT & Digital Transformation team of a leading housing organisation. The role blends security monitoring, cloud security and governance to protect critical systems and data.

You will lead security operations, work with cloud environments (Azure) and engage with stakeholders to translate risks into business impact while promoting a strong security culture across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security experience in security engineering.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security tech including firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, Defender.
• Experience in security incident detection, response and recovery.
• Cloud proficiency, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to explain risks and business impact to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Calm under pressure with problem solving and stakeholder trust building.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across security monitoring, threat detection and incident response.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching and endpoint security improvements.
• Support detection, investigation, response and recovery of security incidents.
• Influence secure network, cloud and endpoint design across projects.
• Collaborate with ICT and external partners to implement security controls.
• Support cyber security governance, reporting, audits and compliance.
