Job summary

Confidential in Northampton is seeking a Customer Service Advisor on a temporary 3-month contract. You will be the first point of contact, handling orders and enquiries, updating systems, and ensuring a high standard of service. The role is hybrid, with two in-office days (Wed & Thu) and remote work on the other days, working 37.5 hours weekly.

Salary is 27,830 per annum, start ASAP, and you will collaborate with multiple departments to resolve queries and maintain customer records with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a call centre-based customer service role handling telephone and written enquiries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer-focused approach and professional manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when updating systems.
• Good IT skills with confidence using various computer systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; prioritise workloads.
• Proactive problem-solving with ownership of enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming telephone and written enquiries, providing professional customer-focused service.
• Process customer orders and update internal systems accurately and efficiently.
• Manage customer queries and complaints, liaising with relevant departments for timely resolution.
• Make outbound calls to provide updates and communicate important information.
• Maintain accurate customer records and produce routine reports.
• Contact customers regarding invoices and outstanding payments where necessary.
• Identify and escalate service issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service targets and maintain high standards of care.
