Job summary

Trapeze Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a customer service professional for a market-leading manufacturing business in the UK. You will handle orders, quotations and inquiries with polite, efficient service.

Hybrid working is available on Mon and Fri with a rota to ensure coverage. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract requiring reliable, professional interactions across departments to support orders and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Experience handling customer enquiries, quotations, orders and shipments.
• Experience interfacing with multiple functions to serve customers.
• Proficient PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and quotations.
• Establish and build strong customer relationships to deliver excellent service.
• Prepare quotations using guidelines and system requirements.
• Ensure export compliance when processing quotations and orders.
• Proactively quote follow up and negotiate where required.
• Understand pricing, value and margin to win orders from quotations.
• Progress orders through to shipment using the systems/tools and supporting departments.
• Proactive communication with the customer throughout the quotation and order life cycle.
• Proactively review, investigate and elevate customer complaints where applicable.
• Interfaces between customers and other functions to provide service and drive decisions.
• Identify new sales opportunities and pass to relevant contact.
• Contact potential customers and present products and services to maximise sales.
• Cross selling and up selling.
