The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) is seeking a Property Visiting Officer to join the Controls team. This is a full-time, permanent role with some hybrid working, and a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum.

RBWM offers a collaborative public sector environment near London, with opportunities to contribute to accurate billing, VOA reporting, and exemptions processing. The role focuses on inspecting properties and maintaining data accuracy for Council Tax and Non Domestic Rates.

Qualificações

• Experience of using data entry computer systems.
• Legislation knowledge of Revenues and Benefits.
• Ability to negotiate with customers who express difficulty or unwillingness to pay their council tax.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (orally and in writing).
• Ability to handle sensitive, difficult situations.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement a programme of work to visit all new and unoccupied properties at regular intervals each year.
• Liaise with Building Control and Planning to log new builds and amendments for billing lists.
• Provide information to the VOA on new properties and changes; remove properties as appropriate.
• Obtain occupation data and relate to discounts, reliefs and exemptions.
• Adjust Revenues systems and submit reports to the VOA.
• Visit applicants for Disability reductions to verify qualifying conditions.
