The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) is hiring a Senior Highways Inspection Officer in Windsor. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and a salary of £39,526–£43,613 per annum.

You will lead a team of Highway Inspectors, conduct planned and reactive inspections, manage budgets and contractor performance, and provide technical advice to residents and partners. The council offers generous leave and a final-salary pension with hybrid flexibility.

Qualificações

• Qualified Highway Safety Inspector with NRSWA accreditation.
• Experience with highway inspection regimes and street works.
• Experience managing works orders, budgets and asset systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support a team of Highway Inspectors, ensuring inspections and workloads meet targets.
• Undertake planned and reactive highway safety inspections and arrange remedial actions.
• Manage maintenance activities, contractor performance and budgets to high standards.
• Investigate and respond to customer enquiries and highway incidents with professional service.
• Support statutory duties through asset management, highway claims investigations, and emergency response.
