Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) invites applications for a Senior Highways Inspection Officer based in Windsor, with hybrid working. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £39,526 to £43,613 per annum and opportunities to lead a high-performing highways inspection team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Highway Safety Inspector (C&G 6033/LANTRA) with NRSWA accreditation.
• Sound knowledge of highway legislation, inspection regimes and street works.
• Experience with budgets, works orders and asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Highway Inspectors to deliver inspections and workloads.
• Conduct planned and reactive highway safety inspections and arrange remedial actions.
• Manage maintenance activities, contractor performance and budgets to high standards.
• Investigate and respond to customer enquiries, complaints and highway incidents with professional service.
• Support statutory duties through asset management, highway claims investigations and emergency response.
