Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd. in the UK is seeking a Contractual Advisor to support high-value projects and provide contractual guidance to project teams, ensuring delivery to our standard of excellence.

We require a Bachelor’s Degree in law or construction-related field and knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts, with 1–4 years’ experience. A construction-law qualification is desirable, with a competitive salary and flexible, hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification, in law or a construction related field such as QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management
• A working knowledge of the NEC and JCT suite of contracts

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments
• Generating subcontract documents
• Assisting the project team in negotiating the terms and conditions of subcontract packages
• Delivering advice on how the main contract/subcontract operates
• Provide ad hoc support on contractual matters
• Prepare and deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms
