Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking a Contractual Advisor to enhance our construction team. You will provide contractual advice to project teams, review and negotiate main contract amendments, and support contract administration across high-value UK and Ireland projects.

The role ranges in scope from reviewing complex contracts to delivering training on standard forms. A bachelor’s degree in law or a construction-related field is essential, with NEC/JCT knowledge and opportunity for related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in law or a construction-related field such as QS, Civil Engineering or Project Management.
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract suites.
• Desirable qualification in construction law, ICE LCMC or similar would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate main contract amendments.
• Generate subcontract documents.
• Assist project teams in negotiating terms and conditions of subcontract packages.
• Provide advice on how main and subcontract contracts operate.
• Deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms.
