Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking a Contractual Advisor to support our construction teams with contractual guidance across high-value projects in the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments and assisting with subcontract terms, delivering clear advice and training where needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in law or a related field and 1–4 years of experience, with solid knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in law or construction field (e.g., QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management).
• Working knowledge of the NEC and JCT suite of contracts.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in contracts or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments.
• Generating subcontract documents.
• Advising on terms and conditions of subcontract packages.
• Providing contractual guidance to project teams on how main and subcontracts operate.
• Delivering training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms.
