Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey, a leading UK contractor, seeks a Contractual Advisor to support high-value projects. The role focuses on providing contractual advice, reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments, and guiding project teams through complex terms.

You will generate subcontract documents, advise on how contracts operate, deliver ad hoc support, and even deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended terms. 1–4 years of experience and a law/construction degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in law or construction-related field.
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and negotiating main contract amendments.
• Generating subcontract documents.
• Assisting the project team in negotiating the terms and conditions of subcontract packages.
• Delivering advice on how the main contract/subcontract operates.
• Provide ad hoc support on contractual matters.
• Prepare and deliver training seminars on standard forms and amended contract terms.
