Job summary

National Gas is seeking an Operations Liaison & Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of operational support contracts across Rotating Machinery, Control Systems and related engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with safety, asset availability and long-term strategy.

You will lead contract rationalisation, drive a structured tendering strategy, and act as the main link between Regional Cyber Engineers and the central Cyber function to plan resources and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex engineering, operational or technical support contracts.
• Experience of developing scopes of work and supporting competitive tendering.
• Experience working across Operations, Engineering and Commercial/Procurement functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities across a complex operational environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rationalisation and optimisation of the existing contract portfolio, developing and implementing a structured tendering strategy.
• Act as the primary focal point between Regional Cyber Engineers and the central Cyber function for forward planning and delivery.
• Ensure contracted services align with operational priorities, asset availability, safety, compliance and long-term strategy.
• Provide governance, reporting and escalation for contract performance across the estate.
