Job summary

Salt is seeking a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant to join a hybrid role in Buckinghamshire, combining technical and sales responsibilities. You will support complex software sales cycles for construction planning and project management solutions, translating customer needs into clear, value-led demonstrations.

The successful candidate will engage senior stakeholders, deliver tailored product walkthroughs, and help shape proposals and solutions across a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Background in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or technical project-facing role within software, construction tech, or engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of construction project planning, scheduling, or project controls (experience with industry planning tools highly desirable).
• Exposure to data-heavy, analytical environments within construction, engineering, or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical partner to the sales team, supporting complex software sales cycles across construction planning and project management solutions.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders in client organisations to understand requirements and shape solutions.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations, showcasing how the platform supports project planning, scheduling, reporting, and data analysis.
• Translate complex construction planning processes into clear, value-led solutions for customers and prospects.
• Support the development of proposals, tenders, and solution design, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product capability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve product positioning, messaging, and overall go-to-market effectiveness.
