Job summary

Unum UK is seeking a Claims Coordinator in Basingstoke to join the Dental and Health Claims team. You will manage a portfolio of claims from submission to settlement, communicating with customers and ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with a starting salary of £25,500. Opportunities include permanent and a 12-month FTC secondment.

Qualifications

• As a Claims Coordinator you will manage dental and health claims in line with policy terms.
• Experience in customer service, administration or claims is valued.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to make informed decisions are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage claims from initial submission through to settlement.
• Communicate with customers through multiple channels, delivering high service standards.
• Review claim information and make fair, accurate decisions based on policy terms.
• Explain claim outcomes and policy coverage to customers clearly.
• Agree settlements within authority levels and escalate when needed.
• Ensure claims comply with regulatory, compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team and operational objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement.
