Job summary

UK Power Networks is seeking a Billing Analyst to join the Finance directorate in Crawley on a fixed-term contract (9–12 months). You will manage day‑to‑day billing activities, generate invoices to suppliers and IDNOs, and oversee data quality across two billing engines during MHHS transition.

You will work with senior management and pricing teams, handling queries, data validation, and reports while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs (A–C or 9-4) including English and Mathematics.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately with large datasets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to present information confidently to all partners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, raise, and issue invoices to electricity suppliers and IDNOs, ensuring data is accurate and complete.
• Allocate bank payments promptly and accurately, including cross‑company payments.
• Chase outstanding balances, including applying and managing penalties for non‑payment.
• Maintain and update standing data with attention to detail to align billing data with industry systems.
• Analyse large datasets to support billing queries, dispute resolution, and data anomaly investigations.
• Work across two billing engines as part of MHHS transition to ensure accuracy in a dual‑system environment.
• Collaborate with senior management, providing information and insight to support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Pricing and Contract Management Teams to ensure account setup accuracy.
• System testing and vendor engagement to identify and resolve issues or enhancements.
