Job summary

The Woodland Trust is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support organisational insight and reporting. This role builds a solid analytics platform across the business, designing, creating and implementing insightful reporting.

You will engage stakeholders, work with diverse data sources (SQL, NoSQL, Azure), optimise performance and deliver accurate data to inform decisions. The role is hybrid from Grantham with occasional travel and a full-time permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience writing T-SQL and understanding data architectures.
• Proficient in Power BI and Azure data sources.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of GDPR, data governance and release/change control.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate BI for internal and external use with stakeholders.
• Integrate data from SQL, NoSQL and cloud sources; ensure performance.
• Backwards engineer existing reports and optimise dashboards.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define analytic layers.
• Provide real‑time data intelligence to drive decisions.
• Contribute to Data Strategy and initiative planning.
