Job summary

Talantir in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced BI Developer / Analyst to turn complex data into meaningful insight. This role focuses on designing Power BI dashboards, data models and analytics to influence business decisions, using Power BI, DAX, SQL and Fabric in a modern analytics stack.

The position is hybrid, based in Lichfield with 1 day per week on site, full-time 37.5 hours, with group support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing Power BI models, dashboards and reports.
• Strong DAX, SQL and data visualisation capability.
• Experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT and cloud-based analytics (Azure/Fabric).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
• Desirable skills include experience with other BI tools (Qlik/Tableau/SSRS) and Alteryx.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
• Build reliable, scalable data models to support self-service analytics.
• Use DAX and SQL to prepare and shape data.
• Support ETL/ELT processes and ensure timely data for reporting.
• Implement and maintain secure, governed BI solutions (including RLS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into insight.
• Drive a data-driven culture across the organisation.
