Job summary

Saffery LLP in Leeds is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our growing team. The role involves delivering audits, accounting and advisory services with client contact at decision-making level.

The Audit team in Leeds comprises over 40 staff, with strong development focus and long-term career potential. The office offers a 6-person partner presence and modern facilities; a hybrid policy with home-working up to three days per week is in place.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified is essential.
• Audit background or general practice background is expected.
• Excellent understanding of FRS 102 is essential, IFRS advantageous.
• Experience with one-off special assignments or technical projects is beneficial.
• Software used includes Excel, Word, CCH Accounts Production and CCH Audit Automation.
• Strong leadership and training skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Managing the audit process.
• Managing and monitoring progress of work and budgets.
• Ensuring all work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Supervising and coaching qualified staff and trainees.
• Liaison with tax team.
• Opportunities to work on special assignments and projects.
• Regular technical training and soft skills development to support growth and progression.
