Job summary

Insite Group in Salford offers a hybrid Audit & Client Manager role combining hands-on audit leadership with client ownership and advisory exposure. You will manage a varied owner-managed business portfolio, including groups and not-for-profits, with opportunities to expand into tax, M&A and forensic work.

Based in Salford with hybrid working, the role provides a clear progression path toward Senior Manager and a strong track record of developing people internally.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with solid UK practice experience in audit and accounts.
• Ability to manage a portfolio and communicate directly with clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts and corporation tax.
• Experience supervising or developing junior colleagues.
• Comfort using cloud accounting technology, particularly Xero.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of audit assignments from planning to sign-off.
• Build relationships with clients and act as primary contact on accounting, tax and advisory matters.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102/FRS 105, including group accounts.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns.
• Provide advisory input across VAT, management accounts and commercial queries.
• Coach trainees and junior staff, giving feedback and technical guidance.
• Coordinate with HMRC, banks and solicitors as needed.
• Support workflow management and process improvements.
• Engage in wider advisory work including M&A and forensic projects.
