Job summary

Kier Group plc. is looking for an Associate Engineer to join our team across multiple UK locations. Kier Design is a Tier 1 contractor with a large design consultancy and a £11bn+ project pipeline.

The role leads temporary works design and coordinates with permanent works to deliver high-profile projects. Location options include Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Plymouth with agile working and occasional home days. 40-hour week; starting salary around £70k per annum.

Qualifications

• Chartered member of a relevant professional institution with significant experience.
• Experience leading complex construction engineering services and temporary works design.
• Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and manage design quality.

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works as applicable
• Providing tender and bid support including feasibility studies and outline design schemes
• Managing the delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering opportunities
• Overseeing project teams, ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables
• Building positive relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at project meetings
