Job summary

KierDesign is seeking an Associate Engineer to lead temporary works design and construction engineering services across a portfolio of projects. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, delivering buildable, safe solutions from concept through to delivery, and supporting bid activities with feasibility studies and design schemes.

Qualifications

Chartered engineer with significant relevant experience in construction engineering.
Proven ability to lead complex construction projects and temporary works design.
Experience in design management across multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to technically review third‑party designs.

Responsibilities

Leading temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works as applicable.
Providing tender and bid support including feasibility studies and outline design schemes.
Managing the delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering opportunities.
Overseeing project teams, ensuring technical compliance and quality of design deliverables.
Building positive relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at project meetings.
