Job summary

CYGNET is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant at our Kings Hill office in Kent. This full-time, hybrid role supports the management accounting team with monthly site accounts, dashboard packs, and financial analysis. You will work across departments to ensure accurate records and timely reporting.

The role requires AAT Level 2 (with progress toward Level 3), strong Excel skills, and good communication. Hybrid work and a pension are offered.

Qualifications

Minimum AAT L2 qualified & actively working towards Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Good understanding of key accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare dashboard packs and conduct variance analysis against budgets with commentary.
Prepare site monthly management accounts and reconcile records.
Maintain and update financial records ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
Prepare quarterly internal audit packs and support ad hoc analyses.
Collaborate with payroll and other departments to understand financial results.
