Job summary

Cygnet is hiring an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Management Accounting Team at our Kings Hill office in Kent. This full-time hybrid role combines two days in the office with three days working from home.

You will support monthly site management accounts, prepare dashboard packs with financial analysis, and assist in updating records in line with policy.

The role offers progression into management roles and a salary up to £30,000 with a pension scheme and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum AAT L2 qualified & actively working towards Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Good understanding of key accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dashboard packs and perform variance analysis with commentary to management.
• Prepare site monthly management accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile financial records per standards and policies.
• Prepare quarterly internal audit packs.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
• Collaborate with payroll and other departments to understand financial results.
