Job summary

Marks Sattin is partnering with a growing Kent-based organisation to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This role offers exposure to month-end processes and management reporting within a supportive finance team.

You will report to the Finance Manager and help prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and budgeting. The role also involves analysis, supporting year-end audits, and maintaining records. Hybrid working and study support are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Assistant)
• Studying towards ACCA / CIMA or AAT qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Good understanding of month-end processes
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Proactive, organised, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Analyse financial data and provide insight to support decision-making
• Support the year-end audit process
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
