Reed, a growing accountancy practice in Essex, is seeking an experienced Assistant Client Manager to join its team in a permanent, full-time role with hybrid working. You will manage your own portfolio of clients, deliver exceptional service, meet deadlines across accounts, VAT and compliance work, and support senior colleagues.

A proactive, client-focused approach and strong communication are essential for progression toward Client Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice and managing client relationships.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in accounting.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own portfolio of clients.
• Acting as the primary point of contact and delivering exceptional client service.
• Managing deadlines across accounts, VAT returns and compliance work.
• Supporting senior team members with the wider client portfolio.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
