Job summary

Reed Practice, a well-established Chartered Certified accountancy firm with over 60 years in South Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager. This client-facing role focuses on managing your own portfolio and delivering a broad range of accounting and tax services.

You will build strong client relationships, produce statutory accounts under FRS 102/105, file VAT returns, and handle personal and corporate tax returns within a partner-led, supportive environment that values

Qualifications

• A relevant accounting qualification, such as AAT, ACA or ACCA.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong experience preparing accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and build trusted client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing proactive advice and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Producing accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries efficiently.
• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns associated with client accounts.
• Supporting bookkeeping activities and the production of management accounts.
