Job summary

Reed in Devon/Cornwall is seeking a Junior Manager to join an established accountancy practice. You will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee accounts preparation and tax compliance, and provide proactive advice.

The role offers hybrid working where available, professional study support toward ACCA or ACA, and opportunities to mentor junior staff and build client relationships.

Strong communication, organisational skills and a proactive, independent work style are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent with ACCA/ACA studies in progress.
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of new and existing clients.
• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Oversee corporation and personal tax returns and VAT submissions.
• Liaise with HMRC when required and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor trainees and junior team members.
