Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking Aerothermal Engineers on 12-month contracts with hybrid working patterns. You will tackle gas path aerothermal challenges across design, analysis and testing stages to optimise performance and reliability.

The role demands strong mechanical design expertise, CFD proficiency and a proactive, analytical mindset to navigate cross-functional engineering issues within a leading aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design methodologies and cross-discipline engineering concepts.
• Understanding of product integrity/liability and certification frameworks.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to technical problems and make balanced decisions.

Responsabilités

• Define requirements for aerothermal, capturing system, sub-system and component modelling requirements.
• Perform technical analysis of gas path aerothermal functionality at sub-system and component level.
• Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure models meet expectations and quantify uncertainty.
• Integrate gas path aerothermal systems with adjacent areas to deliver optimised systems.
• Define concepts for gas path aerothermal systems and evaluate them to support robust down-select.
