Job summary

Copello is seeking an Aerothermal Engineer for a 12-month contract in Derby with hybrid working. You will contribute to the analysis, development and optimisation of gas turbine systems, using modelling and testing to improve performance.

Candidates should have experience in aerothermal engineering, CFD, aerodynamics, thermodynamics and engine performance, and be able to work with multidisciplinary teams across testing and verification.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerothermal engineering, gas turbines or turbomachinery.
• Proficiency with CFD modelling and engineering simulations.
• Ability to analyse aerodynamics, thermodynamics and combustion.

Responsibilities

• Analyse aerodynamics, thermodynamics, combustion and gas turbine performance.
• Perform CFD modelling and engineering simulations.
• Support testing, verification and validation of engineering models.
• Define technical requirements and assess design concepts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise engine performance.
