Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a hybrid team based in Derby with potential travel to Bristol and other UK sites. You will design, develop and test electrical systems for aerospace engine test facilities, delivering safe, compliant and innovative solutions.

You will capture requirements, produce calculations and lead design reviews, while coordinating with CAD and product definition teams to ensure timely delivery and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a project environment.
• Experience in preparing and delivering technical reports.
• Experience in developing, testing and evaluating engineering designs.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal, planning and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and write specifications.
• Develop electrical designs and calculations.
• Develop concepts through to detailed design.
• Oversee manufacture, installation, inspection and testing of designs.
• Chair or support design reviews and peer approvals.
• Develop verification schedules and support acceptance testing.
