Copello is seeking an Aerothermal Engineer for a 12-month contract in Derby with hybrid working. You will contribute to the analysis, development and optimisation of gas turbine systems, using modelling and testing to improve performance.

Candidates should have experience in aerothermal engineering, CFD, aerodynamics, thermodynamics and engine performance, and be able to work with multidisciplinary teams across testing and verification.

Aerothermal Engineer

12-Month Contract | Derby | Hybrid Working

I'm recruiting for multiple Aerothermal Engineers to support a major engineering programme in Derby, focused on gas turbine performance, aerodynamics and thermal analysis.

The Role

You'll contribute to the analysis, development and optimisation of gas turbine systems, using engineering modelling and testing to improve performance, efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse aerodynamics, thermodynamics, combustion and gas turbine performance.
• Perform CFD modelling and engineering simulations.
• Support testing, verification and validation of engineering models.
• Define technical requirements and assess design concepts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise engine performance.

About You

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Aerothermal engineering, gas turbines or turbomachinery.
• CFD, aerodynamics or thermodynamics.
• Thermal analysis, combustion or engine performance.
• Engineering testing, verification and validation.

Contract Details

• Duration: 12 months
• Location: Derby, hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
• Engagement: Umbrella or PAYE
• Nationality: Sole British nationals only
• Security clearance: Active SC clearance preferred
