Job summary

SSA Digital Recruitment in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join an established IT support team. You will provide technical support across hardware, software and networking, helping users resolve technical issues while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) with opportunities for professional development and progression through industry-recognised certifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a 2nd Line Support Engineer or similar IT support role.
• Experience providing customer facing technical support.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Exchange and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting PCs, servers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support across hardware, software and networking.
• Take ownership of support tickets from initial investigation through to resolution.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and guide users through effective solutions.
• Manage tickets in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Assist with hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Provide technical guidance and user training where required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues.
• Develop technical expertise through hands on experience and professional training.
