Job summary

Veolia is hiring at the Fair Oak Household Waste Recycling Centre in Eastleigh. The role involves assisting the public with waste disposal, ensuring site health and safety, and promoting recycling across all weather conditions.

Two regular weekdays off per week are provided, with 28 days of annual leave and access to Veolia benefits. A physically active role, it requires outdoor work and manual handling, supported by ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Assisting members of the public at the household recycling centre with waste and recycling disposal.
• Ensure the health and safety of all members of the public, visitors, staff and contractors at the site.
• Ensure that materials on site are recycled as much as possible.
• Ensure that the facility is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area.
• Operate the IT Tablet based booking system.
• Trade waste control.

Hours - Working across 7 days per week including bank holidays

You will have two regular weekdays off per week

Spring Hours 0845-1715

Summer Hours 0845-1815
