Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford, United Kingdom, is looking for an HVDC Programme Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver a defined portfolio of HVDC Reference Solutions. The role requires coordinating resources, setting priorities, and driving the programme across a matrix organisation.

You will work closely with a Technical Lead to combine strategic leadership with technical direction, operating in a hybrid environment within a dynamic Reference Solutions organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Deep understanding of HVDC technology and engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering programmes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent stakeholder and commercial awareness.
• Experience with engineering standardisation or reusable solutions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a defined HVDC Reference Solutions portfolio.
• Coordinate a geographically dispersed matrix team.
• Partner with Technical Leads to align technical direction with governance.
• Drive deployment of repeatable HVDC reference solutions.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Tendering, Projects, Sourcing and other functions.
• Identify risks and opportunities and maintain delivery momentum.
