Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering execution for large HVDC EPC projects from our Stafford office. You will oversee an international team, drive delivery of engineering scopes, and report to the UK PEM team leader within the PEM department.

You will mentor engineers, manage interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, and ensure risk, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met in a dynamic energy transition

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Electrical, Power Systems or related field.
Proven experience leading engineering management on EPC energy projects.
Experience coordinating international, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end engineering execution for HVDC EPC projects on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure integrated deliverables aligned with milestones.
Act as technical lead, managing interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and customers.
Maintain clear communication with customers, partners and suppliers on technical topics.
Maintain risk registers, drive mitigation plans and enforce change management.
Ensure quality and safety processes are applied throughout the lifecycle.
Report progress, issues and KPIs to project governance and conduct reviews.
Support site teams during design-to-construction handover and commissioning.
